Associazione Culturale Amici di Morterone and Officina Giuseppe Villa, in collaboration with ICONE - Centro Europeo di Ricerca di Storia e Teoria dell’Immagine dell’Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele di Milano, open the exhibition Morterone. Natura Arte Poesia on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11 a.m.
The event includes the presentation of three new outdoor installations by Igino Legnaghi, Bruno Querci and Michel Verjux and the opening of an exhibition inside the Casa dell'Arte with works by international artists belonging to different generations.
The sculptures Fiore di ferro by Igino Legnaghi, DinamicoMorterone by Bruno Querci - placed in the località Centro - and Pliée découpée: à hauteur d'homme (corps et vide) by Michel Verjux - in località Prà de l'Ort - will enrich the open-air museum, which already has more than forty works, while the installations presented in the exhibition halls of the Casa dell'Arte ideally reconnect with the exhibitions held in Morterone over the decades thanks to the activities of the Associazione Culturale Amici di Morterone.

The new layout of the Casa dell'Arte will display works by artists who have participated since the mid-1980s in regenerating and animating the cultural life of Morterone, starting from the poetic-philosophical vision of Carlo Invernizzi's Natura Naturans - which places at the center of its reflections man and his ability to perceive and feel what is around him not as something extraneous, but as an integral part of vital becoming - along with works by artists who have been involved in the project of creating the open-air museum over the decades, there will also be an intervention by Felice Varini involving the interior architecture of Casa dell'Arte.

On this occasion, the project time____line curated by Giuseppe Villa will also be presented, which tells the story of the activity of the Associazione Culturale Amici di Morterone through a number of structures scattered throughout the territory, starting from the piazza della Chiesa up to the Casa dell'Arte. The path - focused on the birth and developments of the Morterone cultural association from 1985, the year of its founding, to the present - takes shape as a real timeline through archive photographic images, documents, catalogs, texts and poems.
